Enforex takes part in Spanish as a Second Language Congress: “III Encuentros ELE Comillas”
From November 10 to 12, 2011, the III ELE Conference will take place in Comillas (Cantabria), organizad by Fundación Comillas. These conferences have become a first range and umissable event for all of those who are or would like to be teachers of Spanish as a foreign language. In them, teaching methods and systems are debated and explained by teachers and specialists who contribute with their experience in an environment that is much more than just a class.
This year Enforex will be present in the actual organization thanks to María José Gelabert, Academia Director of Enforex, who is also a part of the Academic Direction of the conference.
Mª José Gelabert has an ample experience in the field of Spanish as a foreign language: she is teacher of the Master’s degree of Teaching Spanish as a Foreign language in Fundación Comillas, of the Master’s degree of Universidad de Alcalá – Madrid and of the Master’s degree of Universidad de Veracruz ana (Xalapa, Veracruz, México). Academic Director of ENFOREX– International Studies Center- Spanish department and pedagogical Coordinator of Edinumen publishing house.
From our school the teacher María Sabas, Academic Coordinator of our ENFOREX-Valencia school will also be present and take part in the round table “The ELE teacher in the classrooms of different public or private institutions” on Thursday 10 (you can consult the conferences schedule in their website). This round table will be about the versatility of ELE teachers as well as their adaptation to the multiplicity of existent courses and programs.
María Sabas also possesses an ample and enviable knowledge of the Spanish teaching field. Since 2005 she has worked in Enforex as teacher of Spanish as a foreign language, specialized in Business Spanish, administration Spanish and teaching of Hispanic culture and civilization. Likewise, she is a specialist of teaching Spanish pronounciation to Chinese speakers and she has tutored teaching practices in the Master’s degree of Universidad de Alcalá de Henares and she is proofreader in Ediciones Tikal (Editorial Susaeta).
In later conferences and round tables many subjects that affect the discipline of teaching Spanish as a foreign language will be discussed: from the most emotional to the most technical, in a multidisciplinary and participative environment.
All conferences will take place in the facilities of Fundación Comillas, in Avenida de la Universidad Pontificia (enlace al programa en la web de las jornadas). We invite all readers, whether ELE specialists or curious about this discipline, to assist.
